The Message of Gilgamesh

The main message of the story to me is that beliving in your self and being brave is important. Gilgamesh was brave and cared about the people in his city. He put the safty and lives of those people before him self. If you belive in your self you can do just about anything. Even though the journey seemed hard and long Gilgamesh still went and try to do the right thing. Even though doing the right thing seemed hard and even a little impossiable. He and Eruku were only two men off to kill the off the demon. People once said that they were two thirds god and one third humans. I think that they said that because they were just two brave men trying to do the right thing.

Gilgamesh the Hero

The story of Gilgamesh is a story of a hero to me. I think a hero is someone who is very brave. The reason I think Gilgamesh is a hero because he left on a long journey. Even though he didnt know where he was going and if he would make it back home. The demon was a dangures scary creature. Even though on one had really seen the deamon before he still belived in himself to be able to kill it. He thought it was something important to do for the people of his city. I think that a hero is someone who cares alot about other peoples needs even though they are scared for themselves. Gilgamesh put the citys needs in front of his own safty when he thought that the journey was going to be a long and dangures one. He was also going to put his safty and his friend at risk. The reason i think that the people of the city made Gilgamesh king was because he could take care of his city and portact his people. Heros make good leaders i think because they put other peoples needs and safty first.

The story of Gilgamesh

The story of Gilgamesh takes place in 4000 b.c.e He is a king who wants to understand death. There is lots of different versions of the story . I will tell you about the one i liked best. In a busy city on the flat land of mesopotamian near the bank of Ephrates river. One day Gilgamesh and his friend Enkidu became bored of everyday life in Uruk. Gilgamesh decided that both of them such go on a journey across the flat plains to the distant mountains to bring back wood from the Cedar forest. Also to defeat the demon Humbaba. People said his roar sounds like a flood , his mouth is like fire and breath like death. The trip was suppose to take six months and instead it took fifteen days. Gilgamesh and Enkidu were able to kill the demon with the help of the sun gods and wind gods. They made Gilgamesh king for killing the Humbaba demon and returning alive.
